Coatings
Protection for paint that has been properly prepared. We start with a consultation, because the right plan depends on the paint.
What it is
A hard layer
on top of the paint.
A ceramic coating is a liquid protective layer that bonds to the paint and cures into a hard, slick film. It makes the surface easier to clean and helps it resist contamination. What it looks like afterwards depends on the paint underneath, which is why preparation comes first.
A coating does not repair paint. It protects the surface as it is when the coating goes on, and makes regular washing easier. It is not a replacement for careful washing.
Why preparation matters
What goes under
the coating stays there.
Swirls, spots and scratches get sealed in along with the gloss. So the paint is cleaned and, where needed, corrected first.
01Wash
A thorough wash removes loose dirt and grime from every panel.
02Inspect
We check the paint for defects that would show through the coating.
03Correct
Paint correction as needed, so the surface is as good as it can be before it is sealed.
04Apply
The coating goes on a clean, prepared surface and is left to cure.
Coating and correction
Two services that work together.
On a new or well kept vehicle, a light preparation may be enough. On paint with visible swirls or etching, correction comes first. We look at the paint and tell you which one applies before recommending anything.

Maintenance
Looking after a coated car.
- Keep washing it. A coating makes washing easier, not unnecessary.
- Use a gentle wash method and clean mitts and towels.
- Remove bird droppings and water spots early rather than leaving them to bake in the sun.
- Follow the aftercare for the specific product used on your vehicle.
